Registration of works
Please send audiovisual work registration cards (see below) to info@akka-laa.lv.
Audiovisual work registration data is the basis for the distribution of royalties among authors.
Authors can only register their works if they have signed a contract with AKKA/LAA.
Registration of works with AKKA/LAA cannot serve as proof of authorship of the work!
When registering an audiovisual work with AKKA/LAA, the following information is recorded:
- title,
- alternative title (if any),
- genre,
- duration of the film,
- producer,
- director,
- screenwriter,
- dialogue writer,
- author of the original work,
- cameraman,
- artist,
- music: composer/lyricist.
The author or authors enter all necessary information about the work on the registration cards, including the percentage distribution of remuneration between the authors, and certify the accuracy of the information provided.
The percentage distribution of royalties must reflect the real contribution of each author to the creation of the audiovisual work, because once the card is filled out, further corrections will not be possible. If the authors of the work have agreed on a specific percentage distribution of royalties, a written confirmation (signature) of all authors is required.
A contract concluded between the authors and the producer of the audiovisual work, which fixes the percentage distribution of royalties, may serve as proof.
